no hyway brand name on cylinder March 10, 2023 Reviewer: Joseph Bramhall from ithaca , NY United States   so from other hyway top end kits ive purchased in the past the cylinder/jug always had hyway stamped in or cast at the bottom of the jug this one did not as I believe it to a non hyway cylinder and maybe repackaged with a generic cheaper one as I could see where cast defects were cleaned up after casting Was this review helpful to you?

Big bore kit November 7, 2022 Reviewer: Justin Thomason from Cartersville, GA United States   Overall, I’m very pleased with this kit. Casting imperfections are minimal. Piston, rings and wrist pin are of good quality too. If you plan on modifying the cylinder, be aware that the chrome lining is very thin. Was this review helpful to you?

MS440 Big Bore Kit September 23, 2019 Reviewer: Bill Young from Franklin, PA United States   Cylinder jug was in excellent shape. All tapped holes were fully tapped with screws going in finger tight. Jug aligned perfectly with saw mounting base. All casting flash on inlet and outlet ports was removed and all internal ports were lightly chamfered and cleaned up before the Nikasil coating was applied. However, the metal gasket that comes with the kit is not correct size.  It is made for a 460 frame, hence, the holes for the mounting bolts are off by about 3/16".  Also, it is about 1/16" too wide for the 440 frame.  I saved my old metal gasket and it worked just fine with the new jug.  This was the ONLY issue that I had with the whole kit. All original equipment parts bolted up cleanly. Once fully assembled, you will find that the high speed jet will need to be advanced slightly to allow for more fuel at the top end of the cut. Also bumped up the low speed by a tiny amount.  Carburetor for 440 is also rated for 460, so, this isn't an issue. Was this review helpful to you?
