Unfortunately, Husqvarna designed the throttle cable retention system with a grommet that connects to the air horn and is captive on the cable housing, as the ends of the cable are crimped on. This means that if the grommet deteriorates over time, you cannot just replace the grommet, you must replace the entire cable. That is what happened in my situation. This new OEM cable is correct in every way and works perfectly in my 3120XP. It has full travel as expected.
