Upgrading to an 18" lightweight bar on a mid-sized saw like the MS 261 or MS 271 provides a perfect balance of reach and maneuverability. To maximize the life of your Sugihara bar, always flip the bar daily to ensure even rail wear and keep the oiling holes clear of debris. Because this is a replaceable sprocket nose bar, if the nose becomes damaged or worn, you can replace just the tip instead of the entire bar.
