Quick Installation Tips:
- Always use a new base gasket (501801302)
- Clean crankcase sealing surfaces thoroughly with brake cleaner or alcohol
- Lightly oil the piston, rings, and cylinder bore before assembly
- Use a proper ring compressor or the “finger method” to slide the cylinder down over the piston
- Torque the four cylinder base nuts in a criss-cross pattern:
- First stage: 6 Nm
- Final stage: 12–14 Nm
- Re-torque cylinder nuts after the first heat cycle
- Break-in: Run at least 3–4 tanks of 40:1 fuel at moderate RPM, varying throttle — avoid prolonged full throttle for the first 10 hours
