🛠️ Mechanic's Tip:
The 5/32" file is very slim. To avoid bending or breaking the file, apply light, even pressure and let the Swiss steel teeth do the cutting. Always file from the inside of the cutter toward the outside. After sharpening the cutters, use a flat file and a depth gauge tool to check your rakers; if they are too high, the saw will not "bite" into the wood regardless of how sharp the cutters are.
