Description

Oregon 72LPX PowerCut™ 20" Saw Chain - 3/8" x .050" (72 DL)

The Oregon 72LPX072G PowerCut™ is a high-performance saw chain designed for professional woodcutters using 50cc to 100cc saws. This 20-inch chain features aggressive full chisel cutters for maximum speed and accuracy in clean timber. The low-vibration design and offset depth gauges ensure a smooth cutting experience by preventing the cutters from diving into the sidewall of the cut.

Professional Durability

Equipped with Lubri-Tec™ automatic oiling, this chain stays lubricated at critical friction points to reduce stretch and extend chassis life. The Blued Cutters offer superior corrosion resistance, while the hardened rivets and chrome outer layer provide a tough, long-lasting edge that requires fewer adjustments in the field.

⚠️ Professional Safety Warning:
This is a non-safety, high-performance chain. It does not meet ANSI low-kickback requirements and is intended only for professional users. Ensure your saw is within the 50cc-100cc range and equipped with a 3/8" drive sprocket.
⚙️ Maintenance Tips:
  • Filing: Use Top-Plate Filing Indicators on the cutters to maintain accurate sharpening angles.
  • Files: Use 7/32" (5.5mm) Round Files.
🛠️ Mechanic's Tip:
The 72LPX is the "gold standard" for 60cc-70cc saws like the Husqvarna 372XP or 562XP. For the best performance, don't wait until the chain is dull to sharpen it. A light "freshening up" with a 7/32" file every time you fill the gas tank will keep the cutters razor-sharp and prevent heat buildup in the bar rails.
