The .063" gauge provides a slightly wider rail which many professionals find offers better chain stability and oil carry in hardwoods. Because Sugihara bars use a replaceable nose, you can extend the life of the bar significantly. To ensure maximum longevity, keep the nose sprocket greased and clean your bar rails and oil holes regularly to prevent premature wear.
