Oregon Power Mate® Rim Sprocket System - 34162XSF
The Oregon 34162XSF Power Mate® Sprocket System is a professional-grade drive solution for Stihl mid-range saws. This two-piece system consists of a clutch drum and a replaceable rim, offering a smoother cutting experience and significantly reducing chain wear compared to standard fixed spur sprockets.
Superior Rim Drive System
Unlike a spur sprocket, the rim-style system allows the chain to float on the spline, aligning itself perfectly with the bar groove. This self-alignment reduces friction and heat, extending the operational life of both your guide bar and saw chain. Because the drum is a separate piece, you can replace the rim multiple times before needing to replace the entire assembly.

🛠️ Mechanic's Tip:
To maximize the life of your drive system, follow the "2 Chain Rule": one rim should last for the life of two chains, and one drum should last for the life of three rims. Always ensure the pitch of your sprocket, chain, and bar tip all match (3/8" in this case). Inspect your needle bearing (sold separately) for wear and apply a small amount of high-temperature grease to the crankshaft before installation.
